winter break adventures

My Christmas present to myself this year was a trip to San Francisco after the new year! I had an amazingly fun time hanging out with Laura and working on my self portrait skillz. The theme of the weekend was Cafe Grattitude. It is (maybe) the best restaurant I've ever dined at. They serve gourmet raw food AND we met some pretty cool hippies during our three visits there. After the fun weekend in SF I flew to Chicago and hung out with Gloria for a couple of days. Fun!!!

The CLOD & the PEBBLE

Love seeketh not Itself to please,
Nor for itself hath any care;
But for another gives its ease,
And builds a Heaven in Hells despair.

So sang a little Clod of Clay,
Trodden with the cattles feet;
But a Pebble of the brook,
Warbled out these metres meet.

Love seeketh only Self to please,
To bind another to Its delight:
Joys in anothers loss of ease,
And builds a Hell in Heavens despite.
